Constructed of black wool, the obverse bearing machine embroidered silver grey initials SD (Sicherheitsdienst), the reverse retaining a largely intact Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label bearing a makers code of A4 20 for an unidentified but widely documented manufacturer of cloth insignia, measuring 48 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), demonstrating the remnants of an adhesive throughout the reverse base cloth consistent
